We should, however be able to set up the antennas the night before. We plan to start setting up inside at 0400 and on the air by 0500.
As of 3.5.07, the DC will not have a SAG bus sweeping the course from Lunch back to S/F.
Thursday May 17 at 1900 hrs. NOTE! Meeting Location Still at City Hall! The pre-ride meeting will again be held at the Parking Lot behind City Hall, at the corner of Russell Blvd. and B Streets, about seven blocks south of the normal meeting location on B Street. Directions to City Hall can be found HERE. We will be meeting at the east end of the parking lot, closest to A Street.
Talk-in on 442.025 + pl 179.9. SAG boxes, info packets (shirts, maps, freq plan), should be available. Any op not able to make it can make other arrangements or pick up their stuff at net control on event day.
As of the March 5, 2007 DC meeting, RS6 will stay at Cobb Elementary, 15895 Hwy 175. As of the April 23, RS 7 will be back to Resurrection.
Pretty much the same as last year. 440 for SAG, 2M for RS. Net Control will be geared towards having enough ops to handle simultaneously 2-4 channels, minimizing the time needed for field units to get a response.
APRS will be used again this year. A separate packet frequency with special event digipeaters located on the course and in the plane will be used. We do not use the national 144.390 frequency due to coverage and congestion issues. Net Control will be equipped to track APRS equipped units.
